As I have lived my life as a skating coach and U.S. Figure Skating volunteer, I've noticed families struggling to keep up with the growing expense of skating. I've also noticed that many clubs are finding it difficult to raise enough money to support their membership. I have been intimately involved in the skating community for the last 24 years so I understand these struggles firsthand.
That is why I am creating MySkatingMall.com with the vision of supporting the entire skating community. Please read below to find out some of the details of how that is being done.

Does your club or team need to raise more money? Would you like to earn money with every purchase your members make? MySkatingMall.com will do both these things. Half of the 10% commission collected from each sale will go directly back to clubs and teams! For used purchases, 2.5% will go to the skating group of the buyer and 2.5% to the skating group of the seller. For purchases of new items, 5% of every sale will go to the skating group of the buyer.
For clubs, MySkatingMall.com will serve as a perpetual fundraiser. Think of it like a year-round 24/7 skate swap with the entire world! By putting a link to MySkatingMall.com on your club webpage and spreading the word to your members, your club can benefit from purchases that members are already making. The club has nothing to lose and everything to gain! You will need to register your club before you can receive this benefit. Registration will be available soon.
In addition to the 5% funding, there is another way for clubs and teams to raise even more money on MySkatingMall.com. The following description applies to clubs too, but this example is from a team's perspective: A team could register as a user on MySkatingMall and list items under its account. If team members want to donate items to the team, then the team could receive the sale amount just like and individual would. The team can pass its username and password around to its members who can then list items under the team's account.
Do you have students whose families are struggling to keep up with growing skating expenses? Help your students to keep skating by showing them how to reduce some of those expenses. MySkatingMall.com will provide many used options for outfits, boots, blades, etc. If families are spending less and have the option to earn money from their gently used items, they may be able to keep skating and maintain their lesson schedules!
Would you like to increase traffic to your website without any out-of-pocket expense? That is exactly what MySkatingMall.com will do. We will do our own marketing and attract customers to your site. What we ask in return is for you to embrace our vision of supporting grassroots skating by paying a 10% commission on all sales that come from MySkatingMall.com traffic. Like all purchases on MySkatingMall.com, 5% of the purchase price will go directly to the skating club of the buyer. If no sales are made, there is no cost to you. As long as your retail price is more than 10% over cost, you will make money!
